Be Healthy NH is a nutrition consultation practice based at 52 Lafayette Road in North Hampton, New Hampshire. We serve individuals and families across the Seacoast NH region, including Hampton, Hudson, and surrounding communities, both in person and virtually.
Our work is built around one straightforward idea: generic health advice rarely works because it was never built for you. Your body, your schedule, your history, and your goals are specific. Your nutrition support should be too.
Meet Mary Sue Sanderson, RD, LD
Mary Sue Sanderson is the founder and lead practitioner at Be Healthy NH. She holds both the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and the Licensed Dietitian (LD) license from the state of New Hampshire — the highest professional standards available in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
With over nine years in practice, Mary Sue has worked with clients across a wide range of health goals and conditions. Her particular areas of depth include women’s health across all life stages, hormonal nutrition, fertility support, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and supplement guidance. She also works with clients managing chronic conditions such as blood sugar imbalances, elevated cholesterol, digestive disorders, and thyroid dysfunction.
Mary Sue works closely with the Gianna Family Health Center, where she supports clients through the Creighton Model of natural family planning with nutrition-based care. This work reflects her broader commitment to evidence-based, whole-person health that respects the values and circumstances of each individual she works with.

What We Do
Be Healthy NH offers personalized nutrition consultations, supplement guidance, and holistic wellness support. Every service is built around your specific situation — not a one-size-fits-all program.
One-on-One Nutrition Consultations
In-person sessions at our North Hampton office or virtual appointments for clients across New Hampshire and beyond. The first session covers your full health history, current eating patterns, goals, and any previous attempts at dietary change. You leave with a clear, realistic starting point — not an overwhelming plan you will not follow.
Women’s Health Nutrition
Specialist support for women navigating hormonal changes, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause. Nutrition plays a direct role in how your body functions through each of these stages, and the right approach changes as your needs change. Mary Sue has particular depth in this area through both her clinical training and her ongoing work with the Gianna Family Health Center.
Supplement Guidance
The supplement industry is largely unregulated and full of products that make claims the research does not support. Mary Sue reviews what you are currently taking, advises on what is genuinely useful for your situation, and flags anything that may interact with your medications or with other supplements. The goal is to help you spend less and get more from what you actually need.
Ongoing Support
Real change takes time and requires adjustments along the way. Ongoing support includes regular check-ins, progress reviews, and access to ask questions between sessions as they come up. When you work with the same practitioner over time, she knows your history and can catch what is not working before it becomes a pattern.
Why Work With a Registered Dietitian
In New Hampshire, the title “nutritionist” is not legally protected. Anyone can use it regardless of their education or training. A Registered Dietitian is a federally recognized credential that requires completing an accredited degree, a supervised clinical internship, passing a national board exam, and maintaining continuing education requirements. A Licensed Dietitian adds state-level accountability on top of that.
That matters practically. An RD can work alongside your physician, interpret lab results through a nutritional lens, and make sure any dietary changes work with your existing medical care rather than against it. It is a different level of expertise and professional accountability than an uncredentialed wellness coach or online nutrition program.
Why We Are Local to Seacoast NH
Being based in North Hampton means we understand the practical realities of eating well in this part of New Hampshire. We know which local farms are available through the growing season, how long and dark the winters are here and what that does to vitamin D levels and mood, and what the real food landscape looks like for people living and working in the Seacoast area.
Nutrition advice calibrated to a different climate, a different food culture, or a theoretical ideal lifestyle is advice that tends not to hold up. Our recommendations are grounded in what is actually available and realistic here.
We see clients in person at our office at 52 Lafayette Road in North Hampton, and virtually for clients across NH and beyond who prefer to meet online.
